ESMA Learning outcomes updated
DSI, together with the advisory committees and the accreditation commission, updated the final attainment levels for the initial exams of the DSI-ESMA registers. Following this, we asked the accredited trainers to adjust their initial exams accordingly. Therefore, if you enter from January 1, 2023, you will take an exam that is in line with the main developments of recent years.
Why the learning outcomes have been updated
As a DSI-certified investment professional, you meet all legal professionalism requirements. You have completed the exams accredited by DSI and you are going through the Continuing Professional Education program. The exams are in line with the legal requirements set by ESMA several years ago.
On the basis of these requirements, DSI, together with the advisory committees and the accreditation commission, determined the final attainment levels. The accredited exams are based on these so that all legally required knowledge components are guaranteed.
Because the learning outcomes were established several years ago and new topics have since been added (via Permanently Proficient), it was necessary to update the initial learning outcomes. These have since been approved by the advisory committees and the accreditation commission. The updated learning outcomes can be found here.
How the new learning outcomes came about
We have asked trainers to update their initial exams based on these new attainment levels. The updated exams will be administered from January 1, 2023. For you as a certified professional, nothing will change if you have already completed the exam and are taking Permanent Proficient. The update is intended for new entrants so that they test based on the most current developments.
The final requirements for initial exam can be read here.
