Who is participation for?

DSI membership is suitable for organizations in the financial and investment sector that employ professionals who advise, trade or inform on investments. With an AFM or DNB license, you can join directly and have your employees certified.

How do you become a participant?

Signing up as a DSI participant takes a few simple steps. On average, the process takes 2-3 weeks, after which your employees can start their certification immediately.

You fill out the application form with your organization’s details and a contact person.

You will receive the participant agreement and agree to the DSI statutes and regulations.

You pay the annual participant fee. DSI annually determines the fee per participant based on the average number of those certified over the past three years related to that year’s budget.

Once your organization is registered, your employees can apply for their certification through My DSI.

What are the costs?

As a DSI member, you pay an annual fee of €330 per certified employee (rate 2026). You will receive one invoice per year. New certifications and changes during the year do not require additional payment. For a complete overview of all fees, see our fees page.

A DSI participant is an organization in the financial sector that is actively committed to integrity, competence and professionalism of its employees. If a company has an AFM or DNB license, the organization can join DSI and thus also become a participant.

To notify a merger or acquisition complete this questionnaire. Then the employees certified with DSI can be registered under the name of the other organization, provided it is affiliated with DSI.

If your institution has an AFM license, your employees can certify under the participation as self-employed, temporary, seconded, franchisee or as an employee.
