Always report changes in your position or employer on time. These may affect your DSI certification. Think of a transfer to another register or extra steps if your new employer is not (yet) a DSI member. Keep your registration up to date so that together we can ensure accuracy in the Public Register.

You always report changes through your personal MyDSI account. Below, we have displayed common changes in an example and an infographic. This shows you step by step what you need to do. The time it takes and the information we ask you to provide depend on the change or addition you are submitting to us.

Anne worked as a client advisor at an institutional investor for five years. She has been registered as a DSI Institutional Investment Advisor since 2018. She will start in a month with a new employer where she will hold the same position. What must Anne do to remain DSI Certified in the same register but with a different employer?

For an up-to-date Public Register

Screening upon change of certification

As an industry, we have collectively chosen that a DSI registration must be up-to-date. This way everyone can be confident that the information in the Public Register is correct. When changing or supplementing a certification, we check some items through a screening procedure at DISA. We do this with every change and/or addition to ensure the accuracy of the information in the Public Register.

We understand the annoyance of having to go through another screening process. After all, you are already on the Public Register and have previously gone through an extensive review. Nevertheless, every change requires a new screening because changes may have occurred of which we are not aware. We ask for your understanding for this additional screening so that together we can ensure that all DSI registrations are up to date.

DSI registration termination

If your DSI certification is no longer necessary, for example because you have left your current position to which the registration was linked, you can notify DSI of your retirement. Please do this via the contact form, mentioning your DSI registration number in your message. After processing the data, we will always send a confirmation of the termination of the registration by email.

If your employer is not visible in MijnDSI, this may be because your employer is not a participant of the DSI Foundation. To certify as a professional, your employer must be affiliated with our foundation.

More information on registering companies as participants can be found here. If you have additional questions, you can always contact one of our customer care officers via email: info@dsi.nl or call 020 620 12 74. In addition to your question, please include the following information in your email:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your DSI registration number
  • Which DSI register you are enrolled in

We will take your e-mail and get back to you as soon as possible.

Congratulations on passing your certificate! We are notified each month of the exams passed by the training institutes. We then add the exam results to the certifications. You do not have to do anything at all for this.

Notice: In the information exchange between trainers and DSI, we do not always have a unique identifier. As a result, in some cases a link may not have been made. If you send a copy of your certificate to info@dsi.nl we will update the status of your certification for you as soon as possible.

Once you have passed your last professional competence section, your status can be changed from candidate certified to certified. Also, if you notice that your status is not displayed correctly in the DSI Public Register, you can have it corrected.

In that case, send a message with your registration number to DSI via the contact form or call 020 – 620 12 74. DSI will then ensure that your correct status is visible in the Public Register within two working days. In this way, your integrity and professionalism as a financial professional is always up to date and visible to the sector.

You want to change your certification because, for example, you have changed positions or are going to work for another employer. Through the Change Certification page you will find all information about changing your certification or applying for additional certification.

Certifiers and Candidate Certifiers who are no longer working for a Participant can continue certification for up to one year. The cost for using this service is €75.
