Candidates certified
At DSI Foundation, we offer financial professionals the opportunity to become certified, both employees and self-employed who work for a financial institution that has joined DSI. During this process, there are several statuses a professional can have. Let’s take a look at these.
What is a DSI certified professional?
A DSI-certified professional meets the admission requirements of one or more DSI registries. This means that they are always up to date with the latest laws and regulations, competent in dealing with integrity dilemmas, have the right education and work experience, and adhere to the DSI Code of Conduct. To show that they keep their knowledge up-to-date, they successfully complete the DSI Continuing Professional Education program every year.
What is a candidate certified?
A candidate certified is not yet fully certified. They meet the DSI Code of Conduct, but do not yet have all the required education and/or work experience to achieve full DSI certification.
What are the main differences?
Both comply with the DSI code of conduct. The difference is in the level of training or work experience. As a consumer, it is important to know that working with DSI-certified professionals is recommended because they meet all the requirements.
What does this mean for the registry?
Although previously only certified professionals could be found in the Public Registry, candidate certified professionals are now also included. So be aware that if you want to look up a professional, not everyone meets the certification requirements.
