Getting started with your DSI certification

Are you required to obtain DSI certification? Through Van Lanschot Kempen, as a new employee you will receive a training overview in VLK Academy and an invitation from DSI for the assigned DSI registry. If you have a question about this, ask them via the HR Portal. You can register yourself via MijnDSI.nl.

Here’s how to apply for your DSI certification

Applying for or changing a certification involves several steps. In this overview, we have outlined this process for you.

DSI has developed a Certification Guide that allows you to quickly see which certification best suits your role through a few questions. At the end, you get the link directly to the most appropriate DSI register.

Start your application in MyDSI 2.
Start your application in MyDSI

You start your certification application in MijnDSI, the secure portal where you can apply for, view and change certifications. To apply, you will need at least the e-mail address of your contact person at he employer and any previous screening documents or relevant exam results.

Take the exams 3.
Take the exams

To be admitted to a DSI register you must, among other things, have successfully completed one or more exams. You complete these knowledge and/or skills exams at one of the DSI accredited trainers.

A screening is an integral part of the certification process, both when you apply for a new certification and when you change your current certification. This screening is conducted by DISA.

A certification application takes an average of 16 business days, depending on the screening at DISA and the documents you provide.

If you meet all the requirements, we will register your certification in the DSI Public Register. By doing so, you demonstrate that you meet the requirements for integrity, knowledge and skills, and you will automatically receive your DSI certificate by mail.

Every DSI Certified Professional is required to take an annual Continuing Professional Education program recognized by DSI, with the exception of professionals registered in the DSI Register Integrity. With successful completion of the program, you meet all requirements as a certified professional.

Choose the right trainer

Employees of Van Lanschot Kempen are required to take a knowledge and skills exam for a DSI registration and the PE program through a DSI accredited training provider. You book this training at our preferred supplier Lindenhaeghe or The Ministry of Compliance through the VLK Academy.

DSI (candidate) certificants are tested annually through the mandatory Continuing Professional Education program. This keeps them up-to-date with laws and regulations, teaches how to deal with integrity dilemmas, ensures proper education and experience and compliance with the DSI Code of Conduct.

Employees of Van Lanschot Kempen follow the program at a DSI accredited training provider(preferred supplier Lindenhaeghe or The Ministry of Compliance) and book the training courses through the HR Portal. Results are processed automatically.
