DSI Foundation and DISA together stand for honest and reliable professionals in the investment industry. On the occasion of the cooperation in the field of screening DSI certified individuals, Floris Mreijen, DSI’s Managing Director since April 1, jointly rang the gong with DISA this morning.

On April 14, 1999, Stichting DSI was established as a self-regulatory institute for the investment industry. DSI Foundation’s core task is to work with the industry to ensure that society has greater confidence in the investment industry. DSI does this by:

• Formulating standards of knowledge, skills and integrity;
• Accrediting exams and training programs;
• Certifying professionals who meet the standards set by DSI and registering these professionals in the DSI Public Register;
• Addressing certified individuals who violate DSI rules of conduct through DSI Ethics Enforcement.

Employment screening of DSI graduates

Part of a certification application to DSI is an employment screening. This provides a comprehensive check of professionals in terms of work experience and education at the front end of a DSI registration. To carry out this employment screening, the DSI Board has chosen the services of DISA. DSI currently still performs this screening itself. The cooperation is expected to start after the summer. DSI participants will receive further notice as of what date this will be.
