Questions and answers about MijnDSI for professionals
A new online system always presents new questions and challenges, and the MijnDSI portal is no exception. We have therefore created this MijnDSI FAQ page to offer you as a professional practical tips on how to find your way in our new client environment. We share some common questions by other users to help you find the answers you need.
To help you find your way in the new MijnDSI environment, we have written a handy user manual for requesting a screening. Please note: use this manual if you have been invited to participate in a screening via the employer’s invitation module. Click here to download the user manual (in Dutch).
If you can’t find the answer to your question on the MijnDSI FAQ page or the user manual, please feel free to contact our helpdesk via info@mijndsi.nl or call us at 020-6201274 12 74. Please note that it may take some time to process your question, due to the start of the new MijnDSI portal system, but we will do our utmost to help you as quickly as possible.
We’re sorry to hear that you can’t log in using your current user name and password. Fortunately, we can re-set them for you.
In the login screen, click on ‘I can’t log in’ under ‘User Name and Password’. Enter your e-mail address, and we will send you an e-mail with a link to change your password.
If you do not have a MijnDSI account, you can create one by clicking on ‘I don’t have an account’ in the MijnDSI portal.
Unfortunately, MijnDSI is only accessible via a desktop or laptop at the moment. In the future, we will add the option to enter changes in MijnDSI via mobile devices as well. Until then, we ask that you enter any changes via a desktop or laptop.
At the bottom of the screen, you will see the name of your employer. Double-click on this link to view your request.
Don’t see this link? MijnDSI is optimised for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, and does not work as well in Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge. If you use Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge, then try logging in via Chrome. This may correct the problems with your account.
If your account is still empty, please contact our helpdesk via info@mijndsi.nl or call 020 620 12 74.
If the link to the Certificate of Conduct in MijnDSI does not work, then the Ministry of Justice website is probably undergoing maintenance at the moment. If you receive this error message, please wait a bit and try again later.
If you receive the maintenance error message, you could try deleting your cache / browser history. If that does not work, try using the following work-around. Please note: the work-around takes longer to process than requesting the Certificate of Conduct via the link in MijnDSI.
Work-around: If you have enough time to wait, you can request a Certificate of Conduct yourself using this link. The Certificate of Conduct will be sent to the address you provide. When you receive the Certificate of Conduct, please upload it in MijnDSI as quickly as possible.
Having problems uploading your Certificate of Conduct? The new MijnDSI requires sharp images to correctly verify the authenticity of documents. If you cannot upload your document, try taking a sharper photo of the image (max. file size 5 MB) and upload it again.
If you still cannot upload your Certificate of Conduct, then please send it as an e-mail attachment to screening@dsi.nl, with reference to your request number. Team Screening will then manually link the Certificate of Conduct to your request and continue processing the request.

Please use the following work-around: you can also download the Employer’s Statement from MijnDSI. Download the statement and send it to your (former) employer via e-mail. We recommend that you secure or encrypt the file before sending it via e-mail.
There are several methods for securing a file. To secure a Word document:
Your document is now secured with a password. You can send your (former) employer a notification e-mail with the password, and then send the Employer’s Statement in a separate e-mail.
Once you have received the signed and completed Employer’s Statement from your (former) employer, you can send the file to screening@dsi.nl with reference to your request number. Team Screening will then manually link the Employer’s Statement to your request and continue processing the request.
We are aware of this problem, and are hard at work on a solution. Once we have solved the problem with uploading, we will post a notification on this page.
Until then, please use the following work-around:
And is the status still ‘Request incomplete’? If so, please call Team Screening at tel.: 020 620 12 74 or send an e-mail to screening@dsi.nl. We may be able to complete the request manually or let you know which information is still missing.
The most likely cause of the problem is that you did not select your employer in the drop-down menu. In that case, ask your employer to send a screening invitation. This will ensure that you go through the correct screening process, and that your employer pays for the screening.
The image is probably out of focus, or the file type is not recognized. Try uploading a sharper image with minimum file size 5 MB of your proof of identification. This should solve the problem.
If you still cannot upload the file, please contact our helpdesk at info@mijndsi.nl or call 020 620 12 74.
