DSI Certification

What is DSI Certification?

The DSI Foundation certifies professionals in the investment sector, whether they are employees or freelancers working on behalf of a financial institution that is a DSI member organisation. DSI certification shows current and potential clients that you as a financial professional are up to date on the latest developments in the field of integrity, knowledge and professional expertise. Some certification registers also ensure that they comply with the required European ESMA Guidelines.

Continuing Professional Education

DSI Certified Professionals and Candidate Certified Professionals are reviewed annually to maintain their integrity, knowledge and professional expertise as part of the Continuing Professional Education. All DSI Certified Professionals and Candidate Certified Professionals are required to participate in this programme. Thanks to this programme, DSI-Certified Professionals are always up-to-date on the latest legislation and regulations, know how to deal with integrity-related dilemmas, have the right training and work experience, and abide by the DSI Code of Conduct.

The difference between a Certified Professional and a Candidate Certified Professional

The first step in the DSI certification process is that of Candidate Certified Professional. You abide by the Code of Conduct, but have not yet satisfied all of the education and work experience requirements. You can find a more detailed description of the difference between a Certified Professional and a Candidate Certified Professional here.

DSI Public Register

All of the registered professionals certified by DSI are listed in the DSI Public Register. Anyone doing business with an investment professional can check the register to see if they are DSI-certified.
